Abstract
This is indeed a golden age of computer architecture. New technologies, new problems, and new applications abound, delivering computer architects a much bigger playground than ever before. In this talk, I will discuss three representative works from my research group that exploit these new opportunities. Our work on plastic chips attempts to break new barriers in terms of thinness, conformality, and cost. Our work on waferscale processors studies feasible technologies to build largest possible chips. Our work on earable (and odor!) processors attempts to extend the application space(s) computer architects target.
