cs/root is a project of the Virginia Tech Department of Computer Sciencewith funding from a GO Virginia Region Two grant and ongoing support from alumni, friends, and partners, such as Banner Witcoff. Our goal is to inspire and equip Virginia Tech students to pursue computer science-focused entrepreneurship.

Through a combination of academic and extracurricular components, cs/root introduces students to the opportunities and challenges of the technical startup world and encourages motivated students towards entrepreneurship. The program also connects students with department alumni and friends with startup and technical founder experience. Join our community of learning and practice in computing and entrepreneurship.
