Entrepreneurship (cs/root)

Do you have a computer-science related business idea and want to develop it for the market?
The cs/root program supports campus entrepreneurship from idea through start up and beyond. We offer: courses on starting a business, speakers and panel discussions, networking meetings and events, and advising prospective technical founders.
Learn from entrepreneurs and computer science alumni
cs/root is a project of the Virginia Tech Department of Computer Science, with funding from a GO Virginia Region Two grant and ongoing support from alumni, friends, and partners, such as Banner Witcoff. Our goal is to inspire and equip Virginia Tech students to pursue computer science-focused entrepreneurship.
Through a combination of academic and extracurricular components, cs/root introduces students to the opportunities and challenges of the technical startup world and encourages motivated students towards entrepreneurship. The program also connects students with department alumni and friends with startup and technical founder experience. Join our community of learning and practice in computing and entrepreneurship.
