Ready to turn your computer science degree into your next job or internship? The CS|Source Spring Career Fair brings Virginia Tech computer science job seekers face-to-face with companies hiring software engineers, AI specialists, cybersecurity professionals, and tech innovators.

Important details
- Admission: Onsite registration required.
- Bring: Your Virginia Tech student ID for entry.
Computer Science majors, minors, graduate students, and CS alumni only.
Update your resume and upload it to the CS JobHub and Handshake.
You may not have the opportunity to visit every employer booth, so prioritize your top picks ahead of time.
- Research employers. Recruiters are impressed with students who have done their homework and know something about their company. Visit employer websites and check for any recent news articles. One of the top complaints from recruiters is a student who walks up and says: "What does your company do?"
- Update your resume. Ask your department advisor take it to the Office Career and Professional Development for review. Take print copies to career fair.
- Prepare your elevator pitch. Ask your advisor or Career and Professional Development staff for advice.
- Dress in American business professional style to make a good first impression.
- Practice active listening.
- Ask questions. Take a prepared list.
- Expect to apply online. A recruiter you talk to in person may ask you to apply online to be officially considered for an interview.
