Q: It is clear you truly value the touchpoints with Virginia Tech students, evidenced by your involvement with the CS|Source career fair and information sessions. What attracted you to partner with the Department of Computer Science?
CACI is a national security technology and software company. Software development is at the heart of all we do. Our people are our greatest asset and Virginia Tech Department of Computer Science graduates are integral to our program’s talent. Virginia Tech's curricula and experiential learning has proven to provide us with “development-ready” students that fit right into our software development. Our CACI intern program boasts more than 200 interns yearly with Virginia Tech Department of Computer Science undergraduates being the largest single-school pool.
Q: Which attributes distinguish Virginia Tech students as potential employees?
Students at Virginia Tech are the complete package, and as a result, has been the # 1 university for CACI college recruiting. We find students are naturally curious, passionate, and knowledgeable about their field of study and clearly fit our mission-driven culture.
Q: What excites you the most about working with Virginia Tech graduates? Which skillsets are you seeking as you work to meet today’s national security mission challenges, government modernization, and transformation needs?
It’s exciting to work with Virginia Tech graduates because we know they have been provided a solid curriculum and experiential learning that prepares them for the job. The foundation they have learned gives them the tools to get started and also provides the talent that we can continue to develop as they grow their career at CACI. We are always looking for computer science, computer engineering, and computational modeling and data analytics majors to join our team.
Q: Can you please provide examples of what kind of job roles and areas of specialty you are seeking in Virginia Tech graduates?

CACI consistently hires engineers and software developers to deliver expertise and technology to our enterprise and mission customers. Primary areas of what we do include Business Systems & Business Process Re-engineering, C4ISR & Cyber, Engineering Services, Enterprise IT, and Mission Support.

Q: How do you feel you equip your employees with the tools to invent their careers?
