Jai Sundararaman

Jai Sundararaman is a seasoned technology leader currently serving as a senior engineering director at Google, where they lead a globally distributed organization of more than 350 engineers. With more than 18 years of experience building world-class productivity and collaboration applications, including products like Gmail, their expertise bridges deep technical insight with large-scale people management.

Sundararaman's technical interests span foundational areas, such as distributed systems, file systems, and online security, with a strong current focus on LLMs and generative AI technologies.

Beyond technical leadership, Sundararaman is deeply passionate about mentoring and coaching emerging talent. Sundararaman is also an active angel investor and observer of early-stage startups disrupting the AI space. He frequently gives talks in various technology fields and participates in leadership panels.

Sundararaman holds a master's degree in computer science from Virginia Tech, having completed their undergraduate studies in India.
