The Virginia Tech Department of Computer Science would like to invite you to Blocksburg 2022. The Blocksburg conference serves as a catalyst for diverse-minded thinkers, leaders, technologists, and inventors to think about the current and future potential for blockchain. This spring, the conference will happen on April 14, 2022 and will be held completely virtual

In the fall of 2019, the first Blocksburg Summit brought together thought leaders from around the world to the Virginia Tech campus to engage in conversations at the intersection of technology, research, regulation, policy, and economics in commercial enterprises, government, and education. Now in its third iteration, Blocksburg 2022: The Future of Blockchain will continue to promote conversations about this exciting new technology.

Although we're (again) unable to meet in-person this year, the online conference features blockchain experts, innovators, and policymakers from Blacksburg, SWVA, the Commonwealth, nation and world. The blockchain initiative’s leaders will host and facilitate panel forums, and fireside chats to discuss the political, economic, and social implications of this disruptive technology.

Participation in the conference is free and open to all. There is no charge for attendance; however, we encourage you to contribute to the Computer Science Annual Fund.

If you are an individual with a disability and desire an accommodation, please email Briana Blanchard, bnblanch@vt.edu, at least 10 business days prior to the event.
