Blockchain Initiative

The Department of Computer Science has launched an exciting new initiative in blockchain research and education.  Thanks to a signature gift from our partners at Block.one, we have announced new faculty searches, are rolling out new courses, and are offering seed grants to faculty to spawn research and innovation around blockchain technology.

The first Virginia Tech Blockchain Finale is in the books. Thanks to the Block.one mentors, student teams, Computer Science faculty members, and Mary Miller, Virginia Tech alumna, who doubled as a judge and moderator of the experts and entrepreneurs panel (whom also served as the slate of judges!)
